Hayes Involved in New PeteSpeed Drive Train System

MEQUON, US (October 4) - Hayes Disc Brake has entered into an exclusive agreement with the inventor of a new and innovative patented bicycle Drive Train system called PeteSpeed. The first 'chain Drive Train system' in the world introduced by Be One Bikes at the Eurobike show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, currently in the testing and development phase, shows promise with it's simplicity and efficiency to be an option for the fragile rear derailleur on bicycles. The PeteSpeed system will also be a great benefit for the consumer on tracking-, touring and city bikes. Ideal For Downhill And Freeride Bikes. By replacing the rear derailleur, PeteSpeed's centralized positioning of the drive train will provide improved stability and handling, making it ideal for downhill and freeride bikes. At the same time, the gearing system will be protected from the effects of dirt, moisture and rain, meaning less overall maintenance. In addition, downhill riders will appreciate the ability to now shift without pedaling. The Initial Test Results Are In. Be One Downhill professional racer Bas de Bever has already tested the new gearbox system in the Worldcup races, taking home good results.
