RENNES, France (December 16) – Mega store chain Decathlon is investing some € 18 million in a sports park in the ‘departement’ of Brittany. Decathlon already has three similar 250.000 square meter locations in other parts of France. Basically, the parks incorporate a large Decathlon store (8000 sq.meters) hotel facilities, diet restaurants, sporting facilities and other services. Visitors can try out various outdoor pursuits in the parks.(and of course buy the equipment at the Decathlon store…) The Brittany park will also have room for other stores, mainly focussing on wellness, gardening and home improvement.
