MAARSSEN, Netherlands (December 16) – While trawling the net to bring you the latest news from the bike-front, it cannot go unnoticed that Xmas is the time of good will. Especially in the US, literally hundreds of individual or organisations are giving away bikes for the festive season. Ranging from the workers at Harley Davidson to inmates of some prisons, thousands of people all over the world are busy trying to give less fortunate children a Xmas surprise. Some do-up old, discarded bikes, others gather money to buy new bikes: but the web is crawling with these positive vibes. So, a bike might still be the ideal present, and if all these people are not mistaken, a bike is able to bring joy to even the poorest kid…(MH)
