BANGKOK, Thailand (July 28) - Bangkok Cycle Industrial Co. Ltd. has announced further major investment plans to increase its LA brand and export sales in 2006 and beyond. Early fourth quarter 2005 will see the start of the company's first alloy frame production at its factory south west of Bangkok City. Additionally, the company reports its expansion into light electric vehicles and announces further growth expectations from its wheel toy range, successfully launched at the Nuremberg toy fair in February 2005. The new alloy plant will process 6000 series alloy tube and will produce bikes of most frame sizes (16" to 700C). The new plant incorporates a tube manipulation facility in addition to TIG welding and full heat treatment and painting. This plant concludes the original development plan to offer a full range of steel and alloy bikes. At the upcoming Eurobike Show Bangkok Cycle will display all the new product ranges. (JO)
