Heerenveen, 20 April 2006 - Accell Group N.V. announces today at its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders that sales to dealers during the first months of 2006 were generally higher compared to 2005. Having completed its acquisition of Seattle Bike Supply (SBS), Accell Group has taken a significant step onto the North American bicycle market. SBS is being consolidated as of 1 March 2006. For the full year, the company expects a further increase in turnover and operating results. Accell Group intends to present a more detailed outlook at the publication of the interim results on 20 July 2006.
René Takens, Chairman of the Executive Board of Accell Group, stated: ''Our new bicycle and fitness collections for 2006 have met with enthusiastic response from dealers, partly due to our sharp pricing policy. Sales to dealers were higher during the opening months of 2006 compared to last year. Just like in 2005, sales to consumers are still lagging due to the late spring in Western Europe. The outlook for the full year continues to be positive.''
