APELDOORN, Netherlands – Dutch Accell Group is integrating two of it subsidiaries; Loekie (a specialist in kid bikes), and Sparta (the maker of special bikes like the electric ION). There was already a strong cooperation between the two companies which resulted in series of joined 2005 shows that got a warm reception by the dealers of the two companies. Now the integration results in the Loekie employees moving to the Sparta offices in Apeldoorn with all front and back office activities of the two companies being integrated. However, the Loekie brand name will continue to exist and also all the marketing activities for this brand will continue to be handled separately from Sparta. Loekie MD Wilma de Ruiter will step down by September 1 but she will remain in the Accell ranks. (JO)
