TAIPEI, Taiwan – The Taipei International Cycle Show of 2008 will take place in the new Expo Hall that is currently under construction in Taiwan’s Capital. In April 2007 the new Nankang Expo Hall will be finished and the first shows scheduled to take place at this venue that is located not far from the Tapei World Trade Center (TWTC) (the current location for the Taipei Cycle Show), are scheduled to take place in January 2008.
Taiwan’s Department of Economic Affairs invested TWD 3.8 billion (€ 90 mn) in the new Expo Hall that will provide almost twice the exhibition floor space compared to what’s currently available at the TWTC. Over 2,600 booths can be hosted at the new hall on three exhibition floors. The other two floors of the new Hall are to be used for conference rooms, offices and restaurants. Taiwan’s External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has been commissioned by the Taiwan government to operate the new Expo Hall in the period 2008 to 2018.
