SCHWEINFURT, Germany – The Winora Company is entering the French market with its wholesale business Wiener Bike Parts – WBP in short. WBP is one of Europe’s biggest bicycle parts wholesalers and - as part of the Winora Group (incl. the Winora-, Staiger-, Hai- and Sinus-brands) - a subsidiary of the Dutch Accell Group.
As of September 1st, Winora-France will be operational. According to a press release, sales manager Benjamin Huguet and his team will offer about 3,500 items out from the WBP product range. While Winora-France is only concentrating on parts and not complete Winora bicycles - Accell covers the French bike market with Lapierre and Mercier – the company is also exclusive distributor for brands such as Syncros and Suntour in France.
Winora-France will count on its own sales and service structure including call center, B2B website and a French back office based in Germany. Winora was founded in 1911. Today it’s sales and logistics organization (4,000 square meter storage capacity, 12,000 items, 18 sales reps) brings the company in the top 3 in the German market, according to the press release.
