Best-ever Interbike

LAS VEGAS, USA – The 2006 jubilee edition of Interbike was the largest-ever, both in surface, brands on display and a larger attendance than last year, a success in every conceivable way. The Outdoor Demo was visited by 6,000 professionally-interested people. Total attendance as tallied by the organizers was close to 22,000 individual exhibitors, manufacturers’ representatives, purchasers and media people which is a 12% plus over 2005.
There were 10,400 paying dealers/buyers, which is impressive, considering that IBDs have to travel all the way to Nevada.
The dates for next year’s Interbike events are September 24-25 for the OutDoor Demo, once again in Bootleg Canyon, and September 26-28 for the International Bicycle Expo in Las Vegas.
“We had a great year, celebrating our 25th anniversary,” says organizer Lance Camisasca, “ and we expect a great year in 2007. the economy is in our favour, and we expect we can trigger a positive impact with bicycles that can help reduce gas usage and help people to live healthier.
