BRNO, Czech Republic – The Czech SportLife Show that took place last week in Brno, is growing into THE event for eastern Europe and in particular for bike makers that have set up shop in this region. This year’s Show had 20% more exhibitors. Next to a new Czech-Chinese bike maker that was presented in Brno also the newly founded and first-ever Czech bike dealer association ASPK introduced itself here. The association is named ‘Asociace Specialzovanych Proejcu Kol’ (ASPK) and Petr Kohoutek is its first President. ASPK is to become a member of the European Two-Wheeler Retailers’ Association (ETRA), that is the European roof organization of national IBD associations. In Brno, the ASPK proudly welcomed ETRA-president Nigel Hill. Currently the Czech dealer association has about 20 member/dealers and is expected to grow rapidly to about 100 members. There are in total about 900 IBDs in the Czech Republic.
