Dutchman buys 3T from Gruppo

MADONE, Italy - Today Dutch entrepreneur René Wiertz announced the acquisition of the 3T brand name from Gruppo. “We are ready to re-launch the 3T business and bring it back to its former glory”, says René Wiertz, President and CEO of the new company.

“3T has had some tough years, but with our strong financial team and exciting new designs, I am confident the new 3T will be better than it ever was. The brand has a history of almost 50 years in the design and manufacturing of unique bike parts. They were the first to introduce the pursuit bar, the front opening stem and the butted handlebar.”

“To ensure a good start, we have been busy to acquire component designs from several parties”, says Wiertz. “We are always on the lookout for brilliant designs. On top of that we are also quickly expanding our team of engineers for designs.”

On top of this acquisition 3T also signed a global distribution agreement with Vittoria Industries SpA. They will handle the marketing and sales of the 3T product range worldwide. “With this agreement we expand the offering to our customers with unique bike components. I am impressed with the history and capabilities of 3T”, says Rudie Campagne, CEO of Vittoria Industries.
