PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Intersport has opened the biggest sports shop in the Czech Republic with the shopping area 3,700 square meters. The new store, located in the well-known Prague shopping arcade Myslbek, is the 23th in the Czech Republic.
In the Czech market Intersport offers 400 brands in 150,000 sports and fashion products with year total turnover of € 352.1 million (year 06). Intersport has set a goal to have the leading position in the sporting goods retail market in the Czech Republic by 2010.
A strong signal in reaching this goal was launching a new flagship of Intersport retail shops in the capital of the Czech Republic. Intersport reports further expansion in the Czech Republic and other acquisitions are in preparation.
