PARIS, France – The Mondial du Deux Roues, the Paris cycle and motorcycle show that closed its doors last Sunday, is looking back on a successful event. According to the show organizer the number of exhibitors has grown substantially compared to two years ago. In total 383,487 people found their way to the Paris Expo to see the latest in motorcycles and bicycles.
The organization of the Paris Cycle Show holds big ambitions for their future events. Compared with the two previous editions the 2007 show was already a big step ahead. This year hall three of the Paris Expo was filled with 195 booths, much more than in 2003 and 2005. However, the organization is looking for more and intends to compete with EICMA and IFMA directly and with that become the number two show for bicycles in Europe after Eurobike.
To give the Paris Cycle Show its desired international touch, the fair needs to attract more foreign exhibitors and representatives. On the other hand, the city and the show location have everything to make it that important fair, including a city council who is putting a lot of effort in the promotion of the use of the bike to fight traffic congestion.
