MUNICH, Germany - In its third year Bike Expo is showing consistent growth. According to the organization the 2011 edition has already experienced a 26% increase in exhibitor registrations compared to the same time period last year.

This year, for the first time, Bike Expo actively covers all segments of the cycling industry. The young trade show thus positions itself as a segment-overlapping presentation platform for road, MTB, urban and e-bikes. The segments are presented according to themes, ensuring optimal orientation and an efficient trade show visit for retailers.

One of the focus topics at Bike Expo is a professional training program for retailers. Consumers increasingly demand competent service. Dealers and retailers need to distinguish themselves from the competition; continuing education is the key. In Munich retailers can expect events such as the 5th ISPO Innovation Forum, the 2nd International Bicycle Developers’ Congress, manufacturer workshops by SR Suntour and Hostettler and the training program by ExtraEnergy e.V.

“Bike Business Meets Bike Passion” is the motto of Bike Expo, which applies in particular to the new Action Hall. The various consumer events the Munich-based bike show has become known for are bundled into this venue. Retailers can test the latest products themselves at the first Bike Expo Demo Day at the Bike Park Samerberg. This event will feature many renowned brands; among them Bionicon, Bulls, Green Mover, Pegasus, Sachs Bikes, Shimano, Thun and Velo Comfort.

During the last two years it has become clear that the focus on E-Mobility as a primary theme for an exhibit hall, as well as the comprehensive, conceptual presentation of the topic by Extra Energy e.V. The number and size of presentation spaces by exhibitors in this hall continue to grow consistently. At Bike Expo exhibitors such as Bionx, BH Bikes, Flyer, Kettler, Kalkhoff, MyStromer, NuVinci, Panther, Sachs Bikes, and TranzX will present their E-Mobility innovations.

Bike Expo has launched a new partnership with Biretco, Europe’s second-largest retailer organization in the bicycle industry. Biretco will invite its member companies to visit Bike Expo and plans future trade show participation with a special exhibit booth.

Bike Expo is held from July 21st to 24th, 2011 at the New Munich Trade Fair.
