HILVERSUM, the Netherlands - An opportunity to get easy access to the attractive Dutch bicycle market has opened up: one of the country's best known wholesalers is for sale.
Kroymans Corporation, owner of wholesaler Smits, has stopped the restructuring of the company, closed five out of the six warehouses and has put the last one up for sale.
“The bicycle sector is not a core business for us,” says Guy Demuynck, Kroymans CEO. This company is well known in the Netherlands as importer of car brands like Cadillac, Corvette, Hummer, Saab, Ferrari, Maserati and Jaguar.
Reorganisation was Turned Back
Two years ago former Kroymans manager Ad Hendriks started a restructuring of the wholesaler Smits. Last November this reorganisation was turned back and Hendriks stepped back.
