MALLABIA, Spain – Orbea has picked up the global distribution of the triathlon apparel brand Orca, located in New Zealand. Both companies have recently signed the official agreement although the cooperation has been effective since last year’s Eurobike show.
Orca was founded in 1992 by Scott Unsworth and is one of the leading brands in triathlon apparel. Orbea, selling around 200,000 bikes a year, can offer a worldwide sales network that has grown substantially in the last years. With this strategy, Orca is not only aiming to increase sales, but also to focus on other areas like R&D, production and marketing.
The agreement gives Orbea the right to distribute Orca products in most countries including North America, Australia and Europe. The only exceptions are the UK and New Zealand.
