Shimano Announces New Price Increases
Correction: Shimano's second price increase this year will be effective as of October 1st 2008 and not November 1st as previously mentioned in this news item.
NUNSPEET, The Netherlands – Shimano is raising its prices again in November 2008. After announcing price increases for shipments made from the 1st of May 2008, the worlds’ biggest in bike parts is announcing another increase that will take place with shipments from the 1st of October 2008.
From the 1st of May Shimano is raising its prices with 5% for components made in Malaysia and Singapore and 2% for the ones made in Japan. From the 1st of November another 5% rise in prices will take place on components made in China and also 5% on specific other components made in various locations.
