MAARSSEN, The Netherlands – The biggest bicycle seller in Europe, Decathlon, is said to have sold 2.4 million bikes in 2007. What is rumoured is that the sporting goods chain that currently operates 405 stores in Europe and had 2007 sales close to 4.5 billion euro, is further concentrating on bicycles. Europe’s biggest in sporting goods is said to have set a target for selling 3.5 million bikes in 2010.
