Bicycles on Display at EU Green Week

BRUSSELS, Belgium – Just one week before the start, the European TwoWheeler Retailers’ Association, ETRA is fine-tuning the latest details for the (e-)bike presentation that will take place on the doorstep of the European Commission. With this presentation the thousands of delegates that are participating in the Green Week will be made aware of the role bicycles can play in the fight against climate change. 

In the framework of the Green Week, the bicycle industry will present (electric) bicycles, components and accessories to officers of the European institutions, to representatives of businesses and organisations active in the field of the environment and to the public at large.

On 4 and 5 June, ETRA will have a test track for bicycles and for emission-free motorised two-wheelers, as well as an exhibition of vehicles, components and accessories on the esplanade of the Berlaymont building in the heart of Brussels’ European district.

The Green Week takes place in the Charlemagne building just across the esplanade. The Commission expects + 1,000 delegates per day.

The objective of the ETRA event is to show the participants of the Green Week how two-wheelers can be part of the solution to environmental and other problems and what the state of the art in the field of two-wheelers is. Among the companies who have agreed to participate are Batavus, Flyer, Gazelle, Giant, Koga, Schwinn and Sparta.
