FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – The opening of the new exhibition hall A7 in Friedrichshafen provides additional space for the Eurobike this year. As a result a record number of 900 exhibitors will take part in this year’s show. Some 85,000 square meters of exhibition space will be used this year, including the Zeppelin hall.
With the new hall, the Eurobike 2008 will fill 13 halls in total. “The continued growth of the bicycle exhibition demonstrates how important and attractive this business platform on Lake Constance is for the international bike industry”, says Klaus Wellman, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen.
The new hall A7 new primarily house exhibitors of the former East Entrance area. This year the Zeppelin Hanger will present an even wider range of exhibitors focusing on pedelecs. The trade visitors can even test ride the latest models on a special track.
Extra show day in 2009
In preparation for the 2009 edition the trade show team will re-examine this year’s new opening hours in an exhibitors survey. As off 2009 Eurobike will get an additional show date. According to Messe Friedrichshafen, the industry expressed the needs for an extra show date, so the trade show will run from Wednesday through Saturday (2-5 September 2009). Three weekdays, Wednesday through Friday will be reserved exclusively for trade visitors.
