TAICHUNG, Taiwan – It looks like the shift of the international bike show from Taipei to Taichung is turning into reality. The organization of the Taichung Int’l Cycle Show, as an alternative of the Taipei Cycle Show is reported as well under way.
The Taichung city council is said to be financially contributing to the Taichung Bike Week event that again will take place in December. With the financial and other support of the Taichung city council the Taichung Bike Week is to turn into the Taichung Int’l Cycle Show. The first ‘compact pilot’ show is expected to take place in 2009.
New exhibition centre in 2009
The Taichung Int’l Cycle Show could become of great importance as Taichung expects to open a brand new exhibition centre in 2009. Finally, Taichung is aiming on housing an international show by 2010, including a city location for a demo day. At that time the Taichung airport will also have the capacity to facilitate more international flights for business visitors.
