Orbea Opens Shop in Taiwan
TAICHUNG, Taiwan – Ten years ago, Spanish bike maker Orbea refocused its marketing strategies by launching a plan based on three factors: internationalisation, R&D+i, and brand image strengthening. In line with this strategy, Orbea reached out for new markets. Recently the company opened its own shop in Taichung, Taiwan.
At the shop opening Orbea Business Manager Jon Fernández stated: “Our plans are to go grow and strengthen our globally renowned brand name. This is a landmark in Orbea’s history. This is the company’s first shop in Taichung, but it is also the first shop owned by a Spanish bike manufacturer in Taiwan. It’s an example of what Orbea wants to accomplish internationally.”
“Our philosophy is based on product quality, service reliability, commitment to customer satisfaction, and ongoing innovation. We managed to translate our goals into convincing facts and figures: a 70 million euro business in 2007, with exports accounting for 70% of the revenues.”
