Again Mini Trade Shows in Taichung in December

TAICHUNG, Taiwan — This year from 1 – 7 December again a series of mini trade shows will take place in Taichung, Taiwan. Like in 2007, two venues are selected for presentations of the 2010 model year ranges to product managers; the Landis and Freshfields hotels, both in Taichung. As it stands now the following companies will present their newest components at the various mini trade shows called:

• Ride-On
• Taichung Bike Week
• FirstInPerformance
• Taiwanathon
• Surf-On

Last year’s Ride-On Taichung presentations were a big success with the participating companies Crank Brothers, Hayes / Manitou, Hutchinson, Fizik, Fox, FSA, Magura, Mavic and Vittoria. These companies are looking for an even bigger success this year. First reports indicate that Ride-On starts December 3 and will again take place in the Freshfields hotel.

Taichung Bike Week is also again scheduled to take place in Taichung, Taiwan from 1 – 7 December in the Landis hotel. Prologo, WTB, Alienation, Freedom, Xpedo, Cinelli and Pro-Lite will present their 2010 product ranges to product managers.

Surf-On that like Taichung Bike Week debuted last year, is said to take place again this December. Dates are not 100% fixed yet, but are planned for the December 1 – 7 week. Hotel is again the Landis. Surf-On was in 2007 organized by Selle Italia, Selle San Marco, Wippermann, 3T and Kore. If all these companies will be again there this December is not yet clear.

FirstInPerformance was also new on the list last year. Campagnolo and its wheel brand Fulcrum as well as Continental and Marzocchi were the initiators and it looks as if they will be again there this December in the Landis hotel. The same goes for SRAM with its Taiwanathon.

As the timing of the Taipei Int’l Cycle Show with its March dates, is considered to be too late in view of the current spec-cycle of the international bike industry, it looks like the December mini trade shows in Taichung will again attract lots of OEM product managers.
