LORIA, Italy/TAICHUNG, Taiwan - Italian industry veteran Luigi Seghezzi, general manager of Taichung-based Bike Machinery Trading and former GM of Gruppo, has taken over all ITM trademarks as well as all the machinery.
Mid of June the Italian bicycle component maker Italmanubri - ITM in short – had gone into a voluntary liquidation which included the closure of its facility in Romania.
Seghezzi emphasizes that: “The traditional ITM premium brand is not dead. There are still bike people behind it and we will continue to serve our customers as before”. Nothing will change for the customers of the ITM brands. ITM will even launch a wider 2009 product range at this year’s Eurobike and Interbike shows.
In future ITM will be managed from two headquarters – one based in Italy, ‘very near to the current ITM headquarters in Loria’ and one in Taichung, Taiwan, where Seghezzi’s company Bike Machinery Trading is based. He assures that ITM will remain an Italian top brand in the international market.
