Accell Groups Shares Included in Small Cap Index
HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands - Ten years after the introduction of the company on Euronext Amsterdam, Accell Group N.V. is to be included in the Amsterdam Small Cap Index (AScX), due to increased turnover in its shares.
While this makes the shares interesting for investors who only trade in companies included in indices, it is expected that this will have a positive effect on liquidity and thus a further increase of Accell Group’s share turnover.
Over the past ten years, Accell Group’s turnover has risen from €149 million to €476 million, while net profit quintupled from €4.4 million to €24.4 million. This strong growth has come about both on an autonomous basis (average 7% per year) and by means of acquisitions.
René Takens, Chairman of the Accell Group’s Board of Directors: “After 10 years being quoted on Euronext Amsterdam we are now among the 75 companies represented in an index. The increase in our results in 2007 and in the first half of 2008 by 33% and 20% respectively, has clearly contributed to this. We see inclusion in this index as an important recognition.”
Accell Group will be included in the AScX of Euronext Amsterdam as of the beginning of September 2008.
