Messingschlager Expands Warehouse
BAUNACH, Germany – Far East trader and intermediary Messingschlager is expanding its warehouse and will also start building new offices. The major growth market for the company in the past twenty years has been East Europe. Today the company is looking for new growth markets and is consolidating existing clients.
In order to handle the flow of goods at any time of the year, a new warehouse and offices are about to be built. The new buildings are to be finished by the end of 2009. In order to facilitate warehouse and distribution capacity for the mid-term, Messingschlager has just acquired an adjacent plot of 25,000 square meters.
A large stock of all brands represented by Messingschlager is kept in Baunach. Currently three 30-foot containers are handled daily at the facility. According to GM Benno Messingschlager, some 1,000 OEM’s and wholesalers are serviced from the firm's home in the South-German town of Baunach, close to Bamberg.
