New 3T Distributor For North America
MADONE, Italy - Vittoria Industries North America will serve the North American market, promoting wide availability in stores of 3T’s portfolio of high-end cycle components. The agreement gives 3T access to Bikemine’s expertise and takes 3T’s range of high-end racing products into retail stores throughout the US.
“This is a crucial move for us,” said 3T president and CEO René Wiertz. ‘North America is the biggest market for high-end cycling components, and nobody knows this market better than Vittoria. There’s a lot of pent-up demand from bike riders who’ve been following the racing season and seen the pros winning on 3T, but haven’t been able to get a hold of the product yet.”
“We are delighted to have 3T on board,” said Ron Dougherty, general manager of Vittoria Industries North America. “Our dealers are reporting strong customer demand for 3T components after their wins in the Tour de France and the Olympics. Now we can deliver to that demand. 3T is a great name to put up alongside our other high-end Italian brands, Vittoria tires and Selle San Marco saddles.”
“With this distribution agreement in place, we are looking to expand fast in North America,’ added René Wiertz. “We are going to be very visible in cycle sport here in 2009. We are founder members of the Cervélo TestTeam, and we’ll be sponsoring the Milram Team and several other established racing teams, one with a strong American following.”
