Busy Demo Day Good Sign For Succesful Interbike

BOULDER CITY, US – Last Monday the Interbike kicked off with a two day OutDoor Demo. This succesfull concept has become an indispensable part of the international bike show in nearby Las Vegas. The Interbike show has started on Wednesday September 24th and will continue until next Friday.

Retailers from mainly North America got the chance to test bikes and accessories before making buying decisions for the upcoming year. The OutDoor Demo has always had a strong focus on mountain, road, BMX and recumbent bikes. But this year the urban, commuter and electric bikes have carefully made their entrance on this event. However these segments are still seen as outsiders at this event a lot of dealers took the opportunity for a test ride.

The Outdoor Demo’s expo area includes more than 64,000 square-feet of booth space and provides valuable interaction time for manufacturers with retailers and retailers with the product. Not surprisingly Eurobike Demo Day show organizers were visiting this event as well. “This combination of an outdoor event and a show is a successful concept”, said Stefan Reisinger of Messe Friedrichshafen in Boulder City. “The Eurobike Demo Day has become popular very quickly and still has a large potential.”

Despite the high temperatures in Boulder City the OutDoor Demo attendances took the opportunity test rides in large numbers. “The OutDoor Demo was busier than last year,” said Lance Camisasca, Interbike industry consultant. “We are very happy with how things are going so far and look forward to a busy Interbike.”
