Cycleurope and Ideal Partner in e-Bike Project
ROMILLY-SUR-SEINE, France – The Taiwanese bicycle manufacturer Ideal has engaged in more than ten different e-Bike projects with various partners from either Taiwan or abroad. Ideal CEO Louis Chan (see photo), "one of them is the European based Cycleurope."
According to a recent report in the China Economic News Service; the joint Ideal & Cycleurope project involves the presentation of an e-Bike as a gift to the King of Sweden in celebration of the country’s 100th anniversary later this year. Cycleurope AB is based in Stockholm, Sweden. It is expected that the Cycleurope e-Bikes will be assembled in Ideal’s Polish factory in Kutno.
Heavy-duty e-Bikes
Ideal is also partnering with the US based Honeywell to jointly develop heavy-duty e-Bikes. According to the group, the popularity of two-wheeled vehicles has expanded considerably-policemen patrol on e-Bikes, factory workers deliver goods on e-Bikes, and passengers with luggage also use them to travel through airports.
The Taiwanese e-Bike producer earlier reported a steady growth in orders for its electric models and may see a doubling of its annual sales of such green bikes this year.
The Ideal Group observes Europe and China as currently the world’s two largest markets for e-Bikes, with orders from these two areas growing steadily over the past few years; while orders from European buyers during the first half of this year have surged partly thanks to the sharp appreciation of the Euro.
