BH Opens New Plant
VITORIA, Spain – The Basque bicycle manufacturer Bicycletas De Alava (BH) has expanded its plant in Vitoria, Spain. The enlarged facility includes new offices and a fully robotised warehouse. This new warehouse will be the company’s main distribution centre, from which more than 1,500 bicycles will be distributed worldwide every day.
At the opening of the new plant BH seized the opportunity to show the latest bikes to the gathered industry representatives. The model that caught most of the attendees’ attention was the G4 Ultralight. This is claimed to be the lightest mass-produced bicycle in the world as it weighs just 5.4 kilograms.
A lot of visitors were also interested in the E-motion power-assisted bike, which is BH’s answer to the rapidly expanding e-Bike market and was introduced last year. Everybody had the chance to test the model and see how comfortable and easy it is to use.
Earlier at the launch of the E-motion, Alex Zuloaga, BH’s Director of Marketing stated that: “BH has decided to make a very strong push for pedal-assist bicycles with the E-motion line, and it will therefore be one of the major markets that BH will focus on. The positive data gathered at sales points led us to the decision to dedicate more of our efforts to actively promote this new line of electric bicycles.”
