PARIS, France - The Paris Motorcycle and Scooter Show, initially planned for next October, has been cancelled. The motorcycle manufacturers and AMC Promotion, the organiser of the Paris International Two-Wheel Show (also know as Mondial du Deux Roues), which had instigated a new development strategy for the show, unanimously agreed that the troubled international economy would compromise the standards set, including the participation of all manufacturers to represent the sector as faithfully as possible. Consequently, it would not be possible to cater satisfactorily to visitor expectations.
As a result the manufacturers unanimously decided to reschedule the Paris Motorcycle and Scooter Show for autumn 2010, in order to rapidly reassert the importance of the sector.
The organiser of the Paris International Two-Wheel Show underlined that the Paris Cycle Show will take place as planned. This successfully developing event is taking place from 2 to 5 October 2009 in Paris. According to the organizer to date over 300 brands have registered to take part in this get-together and showcase for the cycle industry.
