DT Swiss Starts Construction of New Factory
BIEL Switzerland – DT Swiss recently began building work on an expansion of its factory which will greatly expand its production capacity. After years of outstanding growth in 2007/2008 the company has outgrown its current rented facility in Biel.
The construction of the new building is expected to take 18 months. DT Swiss had already built a new rim factory in 2004 and will now add to this current building in the same location in Biel, Switzerland.
The old rented factory, which is located in the middle of a residential area, will be torn down by its current owner, the city of Biel, to make place for a new town square.
DT Swiss will lease the new facility on a long term basis. In the past few years the company has expanded its product range significantly and is now offering spokes, nipples, rims, hubs, quick releases, suspension forks, rear shocks and complete wheelsets.
The extended facility will allow the company to realize its further expansion plans. DT Swiss Group has subsidiaries in several locations in Europe, the US and Asia.
