KOPRIVNICE, Czech Republic - The Rock Machine brand has been taken over by the Czech bike maker Bike Fun International sro. The new owner was already producing the middle to high-end Rock Machine bikes since 2004 in Czech Republic.
Rock Machine, marketed throughout Europe, is best known for its Downhill and Mountainbikes. Founded in 1994, Rock Machine built a good name in Europe. In addition to Downhill and Mountainbikes, cross bikes, road bikes, BMX, Trekking as well as kid bikes are marketed under the Rock Machine label.
Bike Fun International sro (BFI) has bought Rock Machine trademarks and trade names from Rock Machine LTD. Bike Fun International sro is mainly selling bicycles in the Czech Republic as well as in The Netherlands and Belgium, as the company is owned by two Dutchmen.
In the Czech Republic BFI’s main brands are Superior and STR bikes. For the Netherlands and Belgium BFI is producing Cortina bikes, Gazelle children bikes and many other kid bikes.
According Martin Guras, Sales Director at BFI, it has always been the company’s ambition to take-over a European bike brand. He says: “It presents us the opportunity to sell more bikes all over Europe. Goal is to invest strongly in our new Rock Machine brand and to expand sales in cooperation with the current Rock Machine distributors.”
BFI and Rock Machine are exhibiting at Eurobike in Hall A7, Stand 203.
