PARIS, France – With two days for trade and three for the general public the 2009 Paris Cycle Show intends to repeat the success it had at its previous session in 2007. Then over 100,000 visitors were welcomed at the Porte de Versailles exhibition complex in Paris.
The number of exhibitors at this year’s show will certainly contribute to the targeted number of visitors. Despite the recession 300 brands from 20 different countries are participating.
The Paris Cycle Show is taking place from 2 to 5 October 2009. The show starts next Friday, October 2. That day is reserved trade and press from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm. That same day the show will be open to the general public from 5.00 pm up to 10.00 pm.
On the weekend of 3 and 4 October, the show will be open to the public from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm followed by one more ‘Trade Only’ day from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm on Monday 5 October.
Not only for these special events or the 300 exhibitors the Paris Show is a must for bike professionals; but also because the French market ranks as the 4th biggest bike market in the world. According to the ‘Tous à Vélo!’ association; the French bike market is steering a steady course with a stable turnover of about € 1.4 billion and a 2008 volume of 3,417,100 bicycles sold.
