OE mini-shows Professionalizing with Sponsorship of Taichung city
A total of about 100 parts manufacturers will present their line-ups for model year 2011 at this year’s Taichung Bike Week. Quite a difference with the about 25 companies that organized their mini-shows for years under the names Ride-On, First-in-Performance, Taichung Bike Week, Taiwanathon and Surf-On. Next to getting bigger and bigger the event is also professionalizing now the Taichung city government joined as the official sponsor.
The reason behind Taichung city offering that support is obvious – 90% of the Taiwan bike industry is centered in the Taichung area. The city is arranging shuttle busses running between the participating hotels (Freshfields, Tempus (former Landis) and Splendor).
It also pays for visitor and exhibitor information services at each of the participating hotels, as well as for the Taichung Bike Week 2009 catalogue, and the Taichung Bike Week dinner hosted by Mayor Hu. This international networking event is free to all participants and takes place in the evening of December 8, at the Splendor hotel in Taichung.
