ATHENS, Greece - The biggest bike show of the Balkan countries (located in the Southeast part of Europe) will open its doors next Friday. It is the second time this show is organized and this time the location is the new exhibition and convention center close to Athens international airport. The show is called Bike and Run Expo; will take place from 11-13 December, 2009 and will again join cycling with running and other outdoor sports.
Bike and Run Expo proved to be a success last year with over 12,000 visitors. The organizers expect more visitors this year. Also the number of exhibitors increased to 105, including two international exhibitors - Shimano Europe and Balcan Velo.
The organizers are aiming for more international companies to exhibit as they intend to grow their show to be leading for this part of Europe. Bike and Run Expo has a lot of side event like a photo exhibition, fashion show, closing party and bike repair workshops as well as special brand presentations focused on dealers. The show organizer is the publishing company of Mbike magazine which is the leading cycling publication in Greece and Romania.
Bike and Run Expo takes place from 11-13 December and will be open daily from 10:00am to 9:00pm. Show venue is the Metropolitan Expo, located right next to Athens’s international airport Eleftherios Venizelos.
