Ultra Motor Develops New Peugeot e-Bike
PARIS, France – The return of the Peugeot brand to the international bike market comes of course with an e-Bike. This first model is being developed in partnership with Ultra Motor. It will be based on the Ultra Motor A2B (see photo) and has a 36V Li-ion battery offering a range of 70 km. This first Peugeot e-Bike will only be sold in France.
The Peugeot bike range that will hit all European markets this spring does not yet include an e-Bike. “But that won’t be for long”, said Toni Grimaldi.
“E-Bikes are not so successful yet throughout Europe compared to the Netherlands and Germany. However, the French and Italian markets for such models are growing rapidly. We have already developed an e-Bike system for the bikes of the French La Poste. This system proved to be successful and will also be used for our Gitane and Peugeot future e-Bikes.”
