Vittoria Industries Founder Rudi Campagne Appoints Successors
MADONE, Italy – Tyre manufacturer Vittoria Industries Ltd. has announced a reorganization of its management structure today. In a statement, current CEO and founder Rudi Campagne (photo) said: “I am reaching the age in which all daily operational issues need to be passed on to the younger generation in order to ensure a gradual and proper transfer of assignments and responsibilities.”
As of January 1, 2010 Giovanni Mazzola (MBA) has been appointed Chief Operation Officer and Managing Director of the Vittoria Group. In this capacity he will carry the ultimate responsibility for the financial, commercial and industrial performance as well as for the good functioning of the organization of the Group as a whole and of each individual subsidiary.
“Giovanni Mazzola will be responsible to maintain the highest image for our brands as well watch that the right ethical, corporate, moral and legal standards the Vittoria Group are always met to serve and protect all stakeholders in the best possible way. He will work with the President and Presidium to develop and than implement the strategic and organizational structures needed to create and develop new opportunities for further growth. He is a member of the Group Board of Management and he will report to the President / Presidium of the Vittoria Group.”
Rudie Campagne is 66 years old and he was one of the 4 investors who bought Vittoria S.p.A in 1988. He created a new company called Vittoria Industries Ltd. by a complete restructuring of the Italian company into an international operation. In this process the Italian production was transferred to a newly created factory called Lion Tyres (Thailand), today considered as one of the best tyre factories in the world.
In the next coming years, Rudie Campagne will remain in function as President & C.E.O. in the Board of the Management, supporting the younger managers with his knowledge and experience, in order to ensure the continuation of the Group.
René Timmermans Sales and Marketing Manager
Rudi Campagne has also appointed René Timmermans to the position of Sales and Marketing Manager from the 1st of January 2010 joining the Vittoria management team. In his new responsibility, René Timmermans will report to the COO Giovanni Mazzola. René Timmermans started with Vittoria S.p.A. in April 2000 as Export Manager for Vittoria and Geax tyres, where he became sales manager in February 2006 responsible for sales in Europe and the USA.
Krisda Banchong Uksorn Vice President
Krisda Banchong Uksorn has been appointed as Vice President of the Vittoria Group. Krisda Banchong Uksorn has been working for 20 years as Managing Director of Lion Tyres (Thailand) Co., Ltd. during which he created and built this Vittoria Group production facility as one of the best race tyre factories in the world. Together with the President of the Vittoria Group they will form the Presidium within the Board of Management.
The strong growth, the size of the organization and the increased international dimension of the Vittoria Group need a much quicker access to business data, integration of supply chains and in - and external communication tools to maintain and increase the quality level of all our operations. To provide this to the Group and managers of the various companies, the Board of Management decided to appoint Krisda Banchong Uksorn as the Vittoria Group Chief ICT Officer (CICTO).
