Management Buys Lazers Bicycle Helmet Division
ANTWERP, Belgium – The Lazer bicycle division has been purchased from Lazer SA by its managers Sean van Waes (division manager) and Peter Steenwegen (sales manager). The new company, Lazer Sport NV, will be based in Antwerp Belgium.
“Thanks to our success in the bicycle helmet market, both parties have decided to separate the bicycle division by mutual content”, says Sean van Waes. “The buy-out includes the name Lazer for the bicycle industry by the new company Lazer Sport NV.”
Lazer was founded in 1919 and is one of the most experienced helmet manufacturing companies in the world. “Our objective has always been to find an excellent synergy between design, comfort and technology,” says Sean van Waes.
“Lazer helmets are distributed in more than 50 countries and it has always been a high end brand with a wide range including road, MTB, BMX, downhill, kids, ladies, urban and commuter helmets. We will maintain the strategy of developing helmets with unique customer features and a strong marketing focus.”
