VANTAA, Finland – Last Saturday March 6th Tunturi-Hellberg celebrated the grand opening of the completely renewed Vantaa warehouse. Matti Virtanen (left on photo), Manager P&A Tunturi-Hellberg and Antero Hellberg, the now retired former MD of Raul Hellberg Oy officially opened it.
The renewed warehouse originates from the merger between Tunturi Oy Ltd and Raul Hellberg Oy into one company, Tunturi-Hellberg Oy Ltd after Raul Hellberg Oy was taken over by Accell Group last year. During the renovation process the storage space in the warehouse was doubled and two modern industrial paternoster storage systems were taken into use.
The new company claims to be the number one player in Finland in all segments represented: bicycles, parts and accessories and fitness equipment. The head office of Tunturi-Hellberg is located in Turku with the logistics of bicycles and fitness equipment with a branch office in Vantaa.
More than 150 invitees from all around Finland attended the open house event last Saturday. “The new Vantaa warehouse is now able to serve its customers with the best possible selection and the widest assortment in bicycle parts and accessories in Finland. The logistic and geographical situation provides an excellent foundation for serving the customers in the whole Nordic-Baltic region”, says Matti Virtanen.
