At Taipei Cycle 2010 Alfred Thun is introducing the new ‘Plus’ feature for the 2011 series of its trusted Boogie, Rocky and Jive bb-cartridges. The Plus series represents the culmination of the company’s efforts to optimise some key areas, which means faster assembly processes and improved energy efficiency & rotation quality.
BB-cartridges are where Thun’s core strength lies. The company claims to be Europe’s market leader when it comes to bb-cartridges for bicycles in the € 150 to € 800 end consumer price ranges.
"Our goal is to offer key product benefits to bicycle manufacturers and consumers alike. That’s why we have invested over a million euros in 6-Sigma quality management processes since 2008," says junior chief executive Alexander Thun.
The Shark system (pat. pend.), a world first, is one of the special features of the new ‘Plus’ series. Screwing the adapter in removes traces of varnish in the housing.
