DÜSSELDORF, Germany (31 August 2000) -- Cyclingworld, Germany's largest road bike consumer show, will open its doors on 14-15 October. According to show organizer Rosso Sport, last year's show debut was a big success. Rosso Sport is a road bike specialist retailer based in Düsseldorf. "Last year approximately 40 road bike suppliers displayed their products here and some 2,000 consumers showed up. This year there will be over 60 suppliers. We are booked out and expect 7,500 visitors," says Gloria Bredner of Rosso Sport's media partner ACB & Partner.
According to Bredner, German road bike fans are the dupe of the conflict among German bicycle trade shows. Both the sport-oriented Eurobike and the everyday-cyclist IFMA show have become trade-only events. "This is why Cyclingworld is such a success, " Bredner says.
Cyclingworld will be held in Düsseldorf. For more information log onto www.cyclingworld.de. (JB)
