e-Mobility Leading at 23rd Taipei Cycle Show

TAIPEI, Taiwan – The electric scooter industry is booming in Taiwan since the government launched a strategy to get 160,000 electric scooters on the road through subsidiary programs. This will put e-Mobility in the spotlight at the Taipei International Cycle Show 2010. It is expected that the Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) Symposium, held during the show, will attract at lot of attention.

This year's main topics are related to international markets, regulations and standards for light electric vehicles. Simultaneous interpretation is provided for both of English and Chinese. The Symposium program includes an EnergyBus workshop, a Power Lithium Ion Battery workshop, the LEV pavilion and test ride activities. The LEV Symposium will take place at Room 401 of the Nangang Hall.

Notable speakers are Daniel Greiner, President of Eweco GmbH, Switzerland who will speech about the criteria for creating a winning e-Vehicle market in Europe and Ma Guilong, chief scientist of the China Electric Bicycle Association who will point out the national standards for two–wheel electric vehicles in the biggest e-Bike market in the world, China.

Other issues at the LEV conference will be the light electric vehicle market in the USA, safety concerns and standards of Li-ion batteries in LEV application, EU Regulations of LEV and Li-Battery, the electric scooter market & test methods in Taiwan, the EnergyBus for Light Electric Two-Wheelers and the challenge and selection of Li-ion Battery for LEV applications.
