TAIPEI, Taiwan – The Taipei Int’l Cycle Show is now the nr 2 bike show in the world after Eurobike. In his opening speech of this year’s show Taiwan Bicycle Export Association Chairman Ying-Ming Yang (photo) claimed this and pointed out that the Taipei International Cycle Show has passed the Las Vegas Interbike in the ranking of the largest bike shows in the world.
After two show days 4,416 foreign visitors have been counted by show organizer TAITRA. This represents a 9% growth related to last year’s numbers. At the same time the number of Taiwanese visitors was a bit down on last years numbers, although TAITRA could not yet give the exact number of local visitors.
Another important indicator for the success of the show is the larger number of foreign exhibitors. This was mainly the result of the first ever French Pavilion with 16 exhibitors and organized by the UbiFrance, the French Export Support Programme.
