Accell Group NV is about to enter the bike market in one of the southern European countries. Europe’s (money-wise) biggest in bikes is said to be on the verge of a take-over of a distributor located in Spain.
Already for some years Accell Group CEO René Takens expresses at each presentation of the holding company’s financial results, its desire to expand into the bike markets of Italy and/or Spain. It looks like that this ambition will be turning into reality in the coming weeks.
Mid March, at the Taipei Int’l Cycle Show rumours were going round on Accell Group’s imminent acquisition of a bike distributor in Spain. Since then Bike Europe received from other sources confirmation on this possible take-over.
