CHICAGO, USA - At Sea Otter Classic, which took place last weekend in California, SRAM introduced many new products to the public. Among them the new Avid Code and Code R aimed at
hardcore Freeride and DH. According to SRAM Code has been ultimately tested in US bike parks before it was shown to the public. For the 2011 model, the existing Code has been updated with TaperBore technology without gaining weight. Riders might expect the same performance and reliability at the same weight as the original Avid Juicy.
This full-featured brake is more powerful, more controllable and lighter. Next to the addition of TaperBore the second important feature is the all new forged, dual diameter, four piston calliper. Code also has a tools free reach adjustment and top loading pads.
Avid Code and Code will be available by August this year. Code and Code R differ in size and less weight for the Code R. Technical performance and features are the same.
