TAICHUNG, Taiwan – The annual spec outing for product managers, scheduled for December 4 to 8, 2010, will not take place at the Splendor Hotel in Taichung, Taiwan.
After last year’s all-out efforts for getting every exhibitor and visitor to the Splendor the driving forces behind Taichung Bike Week, Steve Fenton, CEO of Pro-Lite and Katerina Rejchrtova, CEO of WTB Europe are now breaking up relations with this location.
On why the Splendor is no longer considered as the 2010 Taichung Bike Week venue, Fenton says: “They have their own ideas how to make it work and these do not fit into Taichung Bike Week or the interests of the bicycle industry.”
Fenton further notes: “The Evergreen Hotel in Taichung has stepped up to the mark and are now working to accommodate the companies who were going to use the Splendor. The Evergreen and Tempus work closely together and in this case will be working hard to make this year’s Taichung Bike Week an even better event than in 2009. We plan to accommodate around 75-85 companies in the Evergreen and as we all know this is great as it is literally a 2 minute walk between the Evergreen and the Tempus hotels.”
