FRIEDRICHAHAFEN, Germany - Eurobike continues to gain in popularity in the bicycle industry. Stand assignments on the exhibition grounds for the 2010 edition have nearly been completed and the show has already smashed the one-thousand mark as 1,009 companies have booked stands at the Friedrichshafen venue.

“In order to meet the large demand for exhibition space, we have expanded Hall A3 to open up additional trade show areas,” says Eurobike Project Manager Stefan Reisinger.

Eurobike 2010 is currently close to the number of exhibitors of last year when the show attracted 1,028 exhibitors from 42 countries with an international participation of 68%. With over 100,000 square meters in 14 trade show halls and on the western and eastern open-air grounds, the amount of exhibitor space has soared to a new dimension.

On the fourth edition of the Eurobike Demo Day over 100 international exhibitors are expected to be on hand. They will present their innovations to industry insiders and make them available for test rides.

Ride a bike to the show

To ease the pressure on traffic congestion, some 500 bicycles will be available like last year at key locations (the airport, railway stations and hotels) for use by trade show visitors, completely free of charge. This will allow visitors and exhibitors to cycle easily and conveniently to the exhibition grounds and back again. The distance from the city centre of Friedrichshafen, and thus also from the railway station, ferry docks and a wide range of hotels to the entrance of the exhibition grounds, is about four kilometres only.
