APELDOORN, the Netherlands – The first Merida Experience Center (MEC) in Europe was officially opened in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. Former road racer Henk Lubberding and Merida Benelux MD Peter Koperdraad announced the official start of this facility where customers are able to test drive the most expensive Merida, Centurion and UMF bikes.
Merida Benelux MD Peter Koperdraad explained that the Experience Center forms an extension of the dealer’s showroom. “It’s about profiling the Merida brand by offering consumers the opportunity to test ride the most expensive models they may never buy, but afterwards look for other models from our ranges. As dealers are not able to stock dozens of such expensive models in various sizes, we do it for them.”
The MEC is fully equipped, including a bar, showers and changing rooms. With this opening Merida will stop organizing each fall dealershows at numerous locations in the Netherlands. “Now we have a permanent dealershow here in Apeldoorn. Here, at this easy to reach location in the centre of the Netherlands, dealers are always welcome.”
