350 Brands at Next Weeks Bike Expo 2010

MUNICH, Germany – Bike Expo boasts a considerable increase in number of exhibitors and brands, as well as exhibit space for its second time around. A total of 250 exhibitors will present more than 350 brands on 30,000 sqm of hall space and 25,000 sqm of outdoor exhibit space. This is equivalent to an increase in exhibitors of more than 20%; brand presence of 26% and exhibit space of 17%.

Markus Hefter, Exhibition Director: “Bike Expo is gathering speed. The increase in statistics signals an extraordinary success. We are pleased to have been able to gather so many new, important brand exhibitors for Bike Expo.”

Among the newcomers are many industry greats, whose presence further emphasizes the growing significance of the show. First-time exhibitors at the 2010 event in the hardware segment include
Bionicon, Cannondale, Cratoni, De Rosa, Fatmodul, Mavic (Amer Sports), Rotwild, Steppenwolf, TSG and Wilier Triestina. Returning exhibitors include companies such as Abus, Adidas eyewear,
Alpina, Focus, FSA, Kona, KTM, Oakley, Pinarello, POC, Radon, Red Bull, Schwalbe, Selle Royal, Shimano, Sigma, SKS, SR Suntour and Uvex.

At this year’s Bike Expo the focus will once again be on “Urban Mobility”, a trend with enormous potential for growth. Brands from all relevant segments, e-Bike, Pedelec, or Single-Speed, have
signed up for the event. Among the exhibitors in these segments are BH Bikes, Fixie Inc., Flyer, Gazelle, Grace, Peugeot, Riese & Müller and Schindelhauer.

Furthermore, a lot has happened in the apparel sector: a majority of the important textile brands will present their collections in Munich from July 22nd to 25th, 2010. This year, brands like Gonso,
Maloja and Sombrio will be joined by labels such as Craft, Löffler, Northwave, Pearl Izumi, Protective, Roeckl, Skins, Vaude and Ziener.
